Synopsis

Employment law in the Qatar Financial Centre (“QFC”) is characterised by a commercial and regulatory environment conforming to international best practices and is distinct from the regulatory landscape of the State of Qatar. In the QFC, employment relationships are governed by the QFC Employment Regulations (Regulation No. 10 of 2006), and the Employment Code, both providing a robust framework for employment contracts, anti-discrimination measures and dispute resolution. The QFC Employment Regulations offer clarity on contractual terms, termination procedures and employee rights and also mandate adherence to international standards and fostering diverse and inclusive workplaces. Employers in the QFC should be mindful of ongoing legal developments and market practice, to ensure compliance with evolving regulations, promoting a balanced and harmonious employer-employee relationship.

This QFC employment law virtual training course is relevant to QFC regional HR managers and international HR managers or directors with responsibility for employees in the QFC.
