Jane Beverley Director and Head of Trusteeship, Law Debenture

Jane Beverley is a Senior Director and former Head of Trusteeship at LawDeb. She joined LawDeb in 2019, having previously been Head of Research at XPS Pensions Group,. She is a qualified actuary and an Accredited Member of the Association of Professional Trustees. She represents LawDeb on a number of schemes, including five multi-billion DB schemes, with roles as Chair, Committee Chair and Co-Trustee. She has helped guide schemes through the risk transfer and wind-up process and has also led schemes through numerous complex decisions, including GMP equalisation and rapid response situations. She is particularly passionate about improving the quality of pensions administration and chairs several admin sub-committees. Her focus is on using her in-depth pensions knowledge and experience to work with fellow trustees, advisers and corporate sponsors to achieve better outcomes for members.

Nausicaa Delfas CEO of The Pensions Regulator

Nausicaa Delfas is the Chief Executive Officer of the Pensions Regulator (TPR). Before joining TPR in 2023, she was Executive Director, Governance, at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Until October 2022, she was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Ombudsman of the Financial Ombudsman Service (interim), clearing its backlogs and spearheading its strategic, operational and digital transformation.

Before that, as Executive Director of International, she was responsible for the FCA’s international and Brexit strategy and delivery. She has also served as the FCA’s Chief Operating Officer and previously held senior roles at the FCA and FSA, including in Supervision. Enforcement, Risk and Policy, across retail and wholesale sectors.

She has led innovative and complex transformational initiatives, driving changes in regulation and culture. Before joining the FSA, Nausicaa trained and qualified as a solicitor at City law firm Freshfields in London.

Since September 2025, Nausicaa is also a Non-Executive Director of the Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology.

Dame Julia Hoggett CEO of The Pensions Regulator

Dame Julia Hoggett is the Chief Executive Officer at London Stock Exchange, and formerly, Director of Market Oversight and previously Head of Department, Wholesale Banking Supervision at the Financial Conduct Authority.

Having previously been Head of Short Term Fixed Income Origination, Covered Bonds, FIG Flow Financing and Green DCM at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

As well as Head of Long Term Funding at DEPFA BANK Group and MD (CEO) of DEPFA ACS BANK.

Kate Jones Chair of the Pension Protection Fund

Kate has been Chair of the Board of the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) since 2021, having joined the Board as a non-executive director in 2016. Under Kate’s leadership, the PPF has strengthened how it supports both the members it serves and the defined benefit pension schemes it protects. Today, it protects nearly 5,000 pension schemes, pays out over £1bn in compensation to its members annually and has been recognised for its outstanding customer service. The organisation has also tackled long-standing, complex policy issues and modernised how it operates, helping to reduce costs for sponsoring employers while maintaining strong protection for members. It has also strengthened its approach to responsible investment and long-term stewardship, reinforcing the PPF’s reputation as a trusted public body. Kate’s career spans senior investment leadership and board roles in the financial services industry including JP Morgan, BlackRock, Schroders and M&G. In addition to her role at the PPF, Kate is non-executive chair of JP Morgan Funds Limited and co-founder of executive coaching business &become. Prior roles have included trustee and chair of the investment committee for Smart Pension Master Trust and chair of trustees of financial education charity, Redstart Educate.

Pieter Kiveron Global Benefits Director, AkzoNobel

Pieter brings a genuine passion for pensions combined with extensive international experience across the pensions landscape. With a distinguished career spanning leadership roles in pension providers, life insurance companies, and consulting firms, he is widely recognized as a seasoned pension expert with a vast network in the financial services industry.

Before joining AkzoNobel, Pieter led KPMG’s pension advisory practice in the Netherlands and served as the firm’s key liaison with PensionsEurope. Since 2021, he has been entrusted with overseeing AkzoNobel’s global pension schemes, post-employment benefit plans, and employee benefits as Global Pensions and Benefits Director.

His commitment to advancing pension policy and best practices is further demonstrated through his role as Chair of the Private Pensions Expert Group since 2022, where he represents employers across OECD countries via BIAC/OECD. Pieter also contributes his expertise as a member of the advisory board for the Pension Seminars at ITEM | Maastricht University. He will be contributing to the event in a personal capacity.

Professor Nick Pearce The Pensions Commission and Professor of Public Policy at University of Bath

Professor Nick Pearce (Director of the University of Bath’s Institute for Policy Research) was appointed to the revived Pensions Commission as one of its three members in 2025.

Professor Nick Pearce joined the Higher Education Policy Institute Advisory Board in June 2021 and became a Trustee in September 2024. He is currently Professor of Public Policy and Director of the Institute for Policy Research (IPR) at the University of Bath. He has extensive experience in policy research and government policymaking and writes on a wide range of issues, from contemporary British politics, public service and welfare state reform to Britain’s place in the world. Before joining the University of Bath, Nick was the Director of Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), and between 2008-2010, Head of the No10 Downing Street Policy Unit, responsible for providing policy advice to the Prime Minister. He led and managed the work of the Prime Minister’s 13 policy advisers.

Aaron Punwani CEO of LCP

Aaron is LCP’s Chief Executive Officer, with overall responsibility for defining and delivering the firm’s strategy, to meet the evolving needs of LCP’s clients and people as the firm continues to grow.

He advises the trustees or corporate sponsors of some of the UK’s largest pension schemes. His work with trustees is focused on maximising the security of their members’ benefits, through the optimum combination of funding strategy, investment strategy and engagement with the sponsor. His work with companies is focused on lightening their pensions burden.

Aaron has particular expertise in: establishing effective and joined-up funding and investment strategies; the use of contingent assets; and pensioner buy-ins and buy-outs.

In 2026, Aaron was recognised as one of the UK’s Top 100 Influential People for the second year in a row. He is also the winner of the 2021 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Transformational Leader Category for London and the South East.

In 2016 Aaron received an Institute and Faculty of Actuaries President's Award, for "unstinting commitment to promoting the influence, reputation and breadth of actuaries and the role they play in business and society".

Joanne Segars OBE Chair of the Board of Trustees at NOW: Pensions

Joanne Segars has nearly 40 years experience in the pensions and investment sectors. She is an experienced chair and NED. She chairs now:pensions, the Independent Governance Committee at Legal & General, and is a member of the Pension Fund Governing Board at CERN. She is a Trustee and Deputy Chair of the Royal Photographic Society. Until October 2025 she chaired LGPS Central Limited, the £50bn asset manager for eight local authority pension funds. Joanne chaired the Joint Expert Panel on the USS and was the pensions expert to the review of TfL’s pension arrangements. She was the Chief Executive of the PLSA (now Pensions UK) and held public policy roles on pensions at the ABI and TUC. Joanne has a degree in economics from John Moores University, an MA in Industrial Relations from the University of Warwick and a HND in photography. She was awarded the OBE for services to pensions in 2003

Donna Walsh Head of Master Trust & IGC Governance at Standard Life Pensions

Donna is passionate about improving the experience for members. Companies and members have more pensions, wider savings and benefits options than ever before, due to recent changes in pensions and advances in technology.

Donna believes that these changes provide an opportunity to innovate and design new ways to engage people with their retirement savings. She loves listening to client, trustee, adviser and member feedback to ensure that Standard Life delivers experiences that truly meet their needs. All of this is centred on helping members towards better outcomes in retirement.

Having joined Standard Life 26 years ago, Donna is a qualified actuary and has helped to design and deliver Standard Life’s Workplace developments for over 16 years.

Donna is also the founder of the Trustee Accelerator Programme (TAP), supporting the next generation of trustees. She is a regular at roundtable discussions, industry working groups and events, and loves to share ideas to help shape the future of retirement savings in the UK.

She won Pensions Woman of the Year at the 2025 Professional Pensions Women in Pension awards.

Jeremy Goodwin Head of Pensions, Eversheds Sutherland

Jeremy is the head of the Eversheds Sutherland international pensions team. He has a wide range of experience over 25 years advising companies and trustees in relation to all types of pension plan, both in the UK and internationally. He is currently spending a lot of time helping clients address ESG-related requirements and on how they should best de-risk their pension schemes, often in the context of defined benefit funding surpluses. Jeremy is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and sat in its key committees for more than a decade. He is a member of the Society of Pension Professionals' DB Committee, and leads the firm's relationship with the 100 Group. He is an elected fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts (for his work in connection with CDC schemes). His articles are regularly published in the pensions press, and he often talks at conferences and seminars. Jeremy was named as one of The Lawyer's Hot 100 lawyers for 2011. He is a leading individual for pensions law in Chambers, and has been for over 15 years. Legal 500 2024 states that Jeremy is "highly rated for his pensions work and is active in ESG-related mandates". Jeremy has previously been an elected member of Eversheds Sutherland's Global Management board for 6 years, and was the firm's London Senior Office Partner until 1 May 2024 (when he became Head of Pensions).

Charlotte Cartwright Partner, Eversheds Sutherland

A pensions partner in our London office, she has over 10 years of pensions law experience advising occupational pension schemes, with a particular focus on large or technically complex schemes. Whether you are a company or a trustee, Charlotte has the experience to help you navigate the full spectrum of pensions legal issues — both in the UK and on international projects. This includes the day-to-day running of pension schemes, pensions and corporate restructurings, M&A, and international benefits work. Stuart Earle Partner, Eversheds Sutherland

Partner and Head of the Cardiff Pensions team, Stuart acts for a wide range of clients, from multinational employers and trustees of large occupational schemes to insurance companies and Master trusts.

He has over 20 years’ experience advising on pensions and is ranked Band 2. We believe an improved ranking would reflect his stellar reputation and highly notable client base – acting on some of the largest and most high profile pension matters in the UK.

In addition to clients such as Citigroup, Robert Bosch and Microsoft, he has a particular expertise in regulated sectors, such as water, electricity and nuclear, acting for clients such as Welsh Water, SSE Group, Urenco and Southern Water.
