No.

If the Pay Transparency Directive has not yet been transposed, what steps have been taken towards implementation?

On 19 September 2025, Slovakia published a draft of its legislation to transpose the requirements of the Directive, and has confirmed that it is aiming for an implementation date of 1 June 2026. The draft introduces a standalone law titled zákon o uplatňovaní zásady rovnakej odmeny pre mužov a ženy za rovnakú prácu alebo za prácu rovnakej hodnoty (Law on the Application of the Principle of Equal Pay for Men and Women for Equal Work or Work of Equal Value), and also amends related laws such as the Labor Code, Labor Inspection Act, and the Employment Services Act. The draft was open for public comment and additional review until 9 October 2025 and is currently awaiting approval by Slovakia’s cabinet. The current draft mirrors the Directive, with no major gold-plating, and is accompanied by interpretive guidance.
