The Government’s next step is to adopt an updated draft and formally lodge it with the Cortes Generales to commence the legislative procedure.

The draft bundles ECGT transposition together with the EU “right to repair” initiative.Tightens rules on unfair commercial practices, raises the bar for environmental claims and labels, and introduces measures that support repairability and more informed purchasing choices. Emphasis on clearer environmental disclosures and on the durability of products and availability of updates.
