Current status

The first draft law has been published on 29 December 2025. The draft has completed inter-ministerial consultations and public consultations and is currently at the opinion-gathering stage.

Next steps

According to the content of the published draft, the new law is to enter into force on 27 September 2026.

Additional information

The draft provides for amendments to the Act on Counteracting Unfair Market Practices and the Consumer Rights Act in order to transpose the ECGT (Directive (EU) 2024/825), including provisions on environmental claims, consumer information, and unfair practices.
