- Italian single point of contact is established before the Presidency of Council of Ministers (Military Counsel to the Prime Minister, with the support of the relevant office). Other public authorities have been identified as relevant sectoral authorities for CER sectors.
- The list of in-scope entities, identified by relevant public authorities, will be adopted within 17 July 2026 and will not be published.
- Once included in scope and being notified so, in-scope-entities will have a 10 month period to comply with relevant requirements (with few exceptions).
- CER in-scope entities in Italy will also fall under Legislative Decree 138/2024 (bringing the Italian implementation of NIS2) regardless of their size, and will be considered NIS2 essential entities.
