Introduction
This webpage is for the use for employees or officers of Electric Glass Fiber UK Limited or Nippon Electric Glass Europe GmbH (collectively "NEG") who want to report concerns ("blow the whistle") about problematic behaviour. Employees and officers of NEG contractors who work at NEG sites may also use this webpage.
What kind of concerns can I report?
Any behaviour in relation to NEG that is unethical, unlawful or otherwise prohibited by the company's policies, or behaviour about which you have serious and genuine concerns, can be reported here. This includes, but is not limited to, theft, bribery, dishonesty, fraud, anti-competitive behaviour, unsafe products, tax evasion, unhealthy or dangerous working practices, practices that pose a risk to the environment, or the concealment of any of these issues.
If you have other issues you want to discuss, you should contact your Line Manager (if you are an employee or officer of NEG) or your NEG contact person or NEG's HR manager (if you an employee or officer of an NEG contractor).
How can I report my concerns?
You can report your concerns through this webpage. This webpage is an external ethics window operated by the international independent law firm Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP on behalf of NEG. All you need to do is complete a simple form describing your concern. A privacy notice detailing how Eversheds Sutherland will handle your personal data is available via the links below.
Alternatively, if you are an NEG officer or employee, you can always raise concerns internally with your line manager or HR manager.
What information do I need to provide?
You do not have to give your name or your contact details. However, if you do not provide a way of contacting you, we will not be able to respond to you or seek any further information or clarification that may assist the investigation into your report.
You can make a report in English, Dutch or Japanese.
You should provide us with enough information that we can understand the issue that you are concerned about. The more you can tell us, the better.
What happens after I make my report?
Your report will receive a preliminary review by Eversheds Sutherland before initial legal advice is provided to the NEG Ethics Committee. You will receive an acknowledgement of your report but we regret that we cannot promise to keep you updated as the response progresses.
The Ethics Committee will then decide what kind of response to your report is appropriate.
If we require more information and if you have consented to being contacted, then we may reach out to you to ask for further details.
The information provided will be reviewed by Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP. Information about how your data is stored and used by Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP and your rights in relation to this data is set out in our Privacy Notice.
