Poverty

Our aim is to help alleviate poverty through targeted intervention and financial support.

Some of our key initiatives include:

Volunteering for the environment

Our aim is to develop partnerships to aid our commitment to climate action, utilising opportunities to engage our clients, our people and our communities. Our partnerships complement our environmental sustainability initiatives to improve our environmental performance and make a positive contribution to the conservation of our planet.

Key partnerships include:

La Cravate Solidaire

We have been in partnership with La Cravate Solidaire, an organisation that provides professional clothing to disadvantaged individuals in France and supports their re-employment, since 2018. The organisation offers comprehensive support, including workshops during which the beneficiaries choose an outfit fit for a job interview alongside an image consultant. Individuals are also provided with the opportunity to practice their interviewing skills with a professional recruiter to set them up for success when searching for employment.

Corot Entraide We are currently supporting Corot Entraide, a French charity working to help at-risk families and unhoused individuals between the ages of 18 – 25 in Paris by providing accommodation, clothing and access to counselling services. Through our partnership, we have organised in-house collections of clothes, toys and hygiene products, and participate in the organisation’s bi-annual food drives.

EveryYouth Employability Bursary Programme We are founding members of the EveryYouth Employability Bursary Programme in the UK, which was established with the aim of helping marginalised and disadvantaged young people to overcome prohibitive costs associated with accessing education, employment and training. To date, over 3,000 bursaries have been awarded to young people including 537 in 2023 alone.

WaterAid WaterAid is an international organisation whose mission is to transform the lives of the poorest and most marginalised people by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene. WaterAid is recognised as an innovative charity and a key driver in enabling social mobility globally. We have partnered with WaterAid since 2016.

In July 2022 we supported Global Running Day to raise vital funds for a WaterAid project in Manjakandriana, Madagascar.

We also collaborate with WaterAid on WaterAid Presents, a speaker series with an aim of placing emerging sustainability trends impacting the private and third sector in front of a business audience. We hosted the ninth edition of the series at our London office this year.

Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) works around the world preserving wetlands for people and wildlife. WWT also plays a leading role in the UK in providing formal outdoor learning sessions particularly for primary school children from the most socially deprived areas. Since October 2017, we have supported the WWT’s biodiversity programme through a partnership that sees our colleagues and clients volunteer at one of the organisation’s nine specialist visitor centres across the UK.

Wetlands Link International Expanding on our work with WWT in the UK, we became the first supporting member of Wetlands Link International (WLI) in 2023. WLI is a WWT-led support network for wetland education centres that delivers engagement activities on site with 350 members spanning six continents. We are currently partnered with two wetlands sites internationally – De Biesbosch National Park in the Netherlands and Mai Po Nature Reserve in Hong Kong.
